BYD has officially launched its first fully integrated high-voltage residential energy storage system – the Battery-Box HVE, paired with the new Power-Box hybrid inverter series. For the first time, BYD combines both battery and inverter technology in a unified solution, addressing the growing demand for all-in-one systems.
The latest generation of BYD batteries includes two module sizes – 4.2 kWh and 6.4 kWh – which can be flexibly combined in a single tower. A tower can scale up to 23.6 kWh, and up to three towers can be connected in parallel, allowing for a total capacity of nearly 71 kWh.
With a depth of just 140 mm, the HVE is one of the most compact residential solutions on the market. It supports both wall-mounted and floor-standing installation and features remote diagnostics and OTA firmware updates.
The newly introduced Power-Box SH (single-phase) and TH (three-phase) inverters are fully compatible with the Battery-Box HVE and deliver efficiencies of up to 98.2%. They support backup functionality with overload capability of 150–200% and ensure seamless switching between on-grid and off-grid operation.
With IP66 protection and intelligent energy management, they are ideal for modern, high-performance residential applications.
