Restoration and modernization of the photovoltaic power plant of a family house after floods with emphasis on safety, reliability and efficient use of the energy produced.
A photovoltaic system in a family house in Opava was affected by extensive flooding in September 2024. The water damaged the technology located in the basement, including the battery storage and inverter. The owner’s commercial insurance covered only part of the damage, so the restoration of the system was initially postponed. Eventually, however, the 5.52 kWp power plant was restored thanks to a joint solution where the technology was financed by Huawei Digital Power Czechia, delivery and complete service were provided by us and the entire installation was provided free of charge by PREsolidsun.
To ensure maximum safety and reliability, a Huawei LUNA2000-S1 battery consisting of three modules with a total capacity of 20.7 kWh and a 12kW SUN5000-12K-MAP0 hybrid inverter were installed. The integrated system can ensure uninterrupted operation of the household even in the event of a grid failure while providing a high level of protection against adverse conditions.
The Huawei LUNA2000-S1 battery storage system features short-term flooding resistance, advanced fire protection, and heating for safe operation in winter. In conjunction with a hybrid inverter, the system allows the household to be powered even during a grid failure. A superior 15-year warranty with the option to extend up to 20 years underlines the long-term value and reliability of the solution.
The installation was carried out by the PREsolidsun installation company, which carried out a complete renewal of the system from installation to the final inspection. Thanks to the fast delivery of Raylyst Solar’s technology and the simple configuration of the Huawei ecosystem, the implementation was seamless and the client was able to get back to generating their own electricity in no time.
The renewed system has brought greater safety and reliability of operation to the household. Thanks to battery storage and a hybrid inverter, continuous power supply is ensured even during grid outages. The entire Huawei solution provides seamless communication between elements and easy control in one application. The client appreciates the advanced technology and the fact that the gift of a new system will allow them to further save on energy and rely on their own power generation.
