The Most Efficient Solar Panel on the Market? AIKO Sets a New World Record: 24.4%

AIKO, a leading innovator in back-contact solar technology, has once again raised the bar in commercial module performance. According to the June 2025 update of TaiyangNews’ monthly ranking of high-efficiency PV modules, AIKO’s modules have reached an industry-best efficiency of 24.4%, securing the company’s position at the top of the global ranking — uninterrupted since March 2023.

Unlike many lab-based records or experimental prototypes, this figure reflects mass-produced, commercially available panels, already deployed in real-world applications.

At the heart of this achievement is AIKO’s proprietary ABC (All Back Contact) architecture, which optimizes energy conversion, improves temperature coefficients, and enhances long-term yield — while also offering a refined, uniform appearance. And most importantly: it’s scalable and ready for the market.

ABC modules are now being deployed worldwide across commercial and utility-scale projects. In Japan alone, 18 ground-mounted PV installations are currently operating with AIKO’s Comet 2U 660W modules, all reaching the new 24.4% efficiency benchmark. These systems are running reliably and delivering expected returns — a strong endorsement of the bankability and maturity of AIKO’s Gen 3 product line.

At SNEC 2025, AIKO was awarded the Top Solar Modules 2024 Badge of Excellence by TaiyangNews, reaffirming the company’s leadership in solar innovation.

As AIKO Chairman Chen Gang noted, “Our 24.4% module efficiency is not just a technical milestone — it’s our commitment to bringing world-class solar technology into real-world projects.
